Project Overview

Located at Ippaturu Nawabpet Mandal Distt., Mahabubnagar, Telegana, on 133 acres of land, the 25 Megawatt (MW) alternating current (AC) Polepally Solar Plant will generate enough clean energy to serve the needs of about 42,000 average Indian homes, which is powered by 230,430 First Solar advanced thin film PV modules.

Owned by Polepally Solar Parks Pvt. Ltd., (a subsidiary of First Solar Power India Pft. ltd.), the EPC was undertaken by Mahindra Susten, and the environmental benefits include generation of approximately 47.77 GWh of clean solar electricity per year. The plant generates electricity with zero emissions during operation displacing approximately 37,5000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions per year. The power plant will supply electricity through the grid to the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telengana State Limited for a period of 20 years.
