Project Overview

Located in Mahabubnagar District of Telangana, the 10 megawatt (MW) alternating current (AC) Solar plant will produce sufficient electricity to power 16,500 average Indian homes. The project has installed 121,140 of First Solar's advanced photovoltaic (PV) thin film solar modules and will generate enough clean solar energy to displace approximately 15,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. The power plant will supply electricity through the grid to Southern Power Distribution Company of Telengaga State Limited for a period of 25 years.

Construction of the plant was completed in March of 2016.
