Project Overview

Owned by Marikal Solar Parks Pvt. Ltd., (a subsidiary of First Solar Power India Pvt. Ltd), the solar park is situated at Dhanwada village of Mahabubnagar, which is approx. 150km from Hyderabad in Telangana. The 10 MW alternating current (AC) project which is powered by 126,270 First Solar advanced thin film PV modules will displace over 15,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions per year, and will provide energy to 16,500 average Indian homes. The power plant will supply electricity through the grid to the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana State Limited for a period of 20 years.

EPC was undertaken by Mahindra Susten, and the plant achieved commercial operation in June of 2015.
