Project OVERVIEW
Located on former military training grounds, the Lieberose Solar Park is a perfect example of a marriage between clean energy and environmental conservation. Creation of the solar facility spurred the cleanup of land mines, grenades, and munitions littering the site. When the First Solar modules reach the end of their lifespan, they will be collected and recycled at no cost, leaving the land free of waste and one step closer to the region’s conservation goals.
