Steel posts are used as structural support for the PV array. First Solar utilizes custom-designed post-driving machines that have nearly doubled installation speed while reducing labor costs.   Tilt brackets are used to support the mounting structures. Brackets are installed to the steel posts using 3 bolts at 20° to 30° angle.

  First Solar mounting solutions are specifically designed for rapid installation of First Solar modules.
Our fixed-tilt folding table has reduced installation man-hours per MW by 3,750—resulting in significant cost savings while increasing installation velocity. This innovative mounting solution unfolds directly out of the box and mounts to the tilt brackets. Modules are then installed to the folding table using First Solar’s Secure Clips™, which require no screws or hand tools.

Fixed MountIn addition to our fixed folding table, we have several standard fixed-tilt mounting systems and designs. Standard fixed mounting systems provide the lowest cost of parts and are ideal in lower cost labor markets.
